Maintenance Gardener / Houseman – £45,000 (London)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 3:00pm

We’re looking for a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Gardener / Houseman to join a private household in a beautiful residence in London’s West End. This is a full-time, permanent role with steady hours and a great working environment.

The job is mainly focused on keeping the outdoor areas looking their best—think terraces, patios, and general exterior upkeep. Around 75% of your time will be spent on maintenance tasks like cleaning, clearing, and jet washing, with the remaining 25% dedicated to gardening.

While it’s more of a maintenance role, some gardening knowledge would be really useful—especially if you’re able to suggest planting ideas or help manage borders. You’ll also need to be comfortable with physical work, including occasional heavy lifting.

This role could suit someone starting out in gardening and looking to build experience, or someone more experienced who wants a stable, long-term position. It might also appeal to someone from a domestic couple background who’s now looking for a standalone role.

What we’re looking for:

• Physically fit and happy with hands-on work
• Good attention to detail and high standards
• Strong, checkable references
• Based in London and able to get into Central London for an early start if needed
• Good English (spoken and written)
