All House Managers applying to this role must be happy to work 2 weekends a month, including some evenings if required.

This is a Live-Out House Manager role but you maybe required to stay overnight occasionally, so all House Managers need to be flexible.

We are seeking a dedicated, discreet, and experienced House Manager to oversee the set-up and on-going management of a newly built, state-of-the-art private residence in London. This exceptional home features advanced systems, luxury finishes, fine art, and antiques—and while it is extraordinary, it is first and foremost a family home that requires warm and professional service.

This is a unique opportunity to take ownership from the early set-up phase through to full operational management, reporting into a COS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting up the house from scratch
  • Support the final completion stages of the property, ensuring all finishes and systems meet exacting standards
  • Learn and manage advanced home automation, security, and maintenance systems; create manuals and operational documentation
  • Establish service and maintenance contracts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, service providers, and vendors
  • Create comprehensive household manuals and inventories
  • Recruit, onboard, and train household staff
  • Oversee logistics for deliveries, procurement, and move-in
  • Liaise with architects, designers, and suppliers to finalise outstanding works and maintenance plans

Once the property has been initially set-up, the House Manager will be responsible for

  • Ongoing House Management
  • Overseeing day-to-day household operations and staff.
  • Manage all property systems and maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain impeccable standards of presentation and care across the home.
  • Handle household budgeting, financial tracking, and vendor contracts.
  • Ensure effective communication with the family’s wider professional team
  • Manage security protocols and guest access.
  • Plan and oversee private events
  • Provide highly discreet, professional support to the family
  • Maintain and update household inventories and procurement
  • Develop contingency planning and emergency procedures
  • Work closely with the Chief of Staff to uphold household policies
  • Provide regular operational updates to the Principal and Chief of Staff

Ideal House Manager will have:

  • Proven experience in private household or luxury estate management
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle complex setups and logistics
  • Discreet, professional, and highly organised
  • Technically confident with household systems and smart home technology
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable managing staff and liaising with a high-profile family’s extended team
  • Flexible, proactive, and calm under pressure.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned House Manager to take on a new, exciting project and really make it their own.
