Travelling Food & Beverage Manager req for VIPs living in Central London
International Travel Abroad required up to 3 times a year for 2-3 weeks
£90,000 per annum
A unique opportunity for an experienced and highly polished Travelling Food & Beverage Manager to join a prestigious UHNW private residence in Central London. This role requires an exceptional professional to lead and manage both Butler and Chef departments, ensuring world-class dining experiences and seamless service delivery across London and international residences.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering absolute consistency, discretion, and excellence, while anticipating the needs and preferences of the Principals and their guests.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Department Leadership & Daily Operations
• Oversee the daily activities of Butler and Chef departments, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
• Compile and manage monthly rotas, holiday/vacation planners, and staffing schedules.
• Develop and maintain departmental purchase lists, ensuring premium quality sourcing.
• Monitor and track individual team members’ “Top 3” priorities to ensure focus and accountability.
Service Excellence & Standards
• Establish and maintain consistent service standards across all residences.
• Ensure butlers deliver uniform, high-level service aligned with the Principals’ preferences.
• Provide ongoing training, supervision, and performance management for butler and service teams.
• Act as the first line of management during all dining occasions, events, and formal service.
Dining & Event Management
• Plan, coordinate, and execute private dining experiences, events, and formal occasions.
• Design and manage detailed seating plans in line with protocol and guest dynamics.
• Oversee and execute all table setups, ensuring presentation meets exacting aesthetic standards.
• Liaise closely with the Lady of the House to ensure all dining aesthetics align with her expectations.
Guest Experience & Personalisation
• Maintain and regularly update a comprehensive guest database, including global dietary requirements, allergies, and preferences.
• Ensure all dining experiences are tailored, personalised, and executed flawlessly.
• Anticipate guest needs and ensure a seamless and discreet service experience.
Culinary Coordination & Procurement
• Work closely with in-house chefs on menu planning, ensuring creativity, variety, and excellence.
• Ensure all vendors and suppliers meet the highest standards, with a strong focus on premium and organic produce.
• Oversee procurement processes and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Principal Liaison & Dining Planning
• Plan and present weekly dining schedules to the Principals requests
• Propose themed dining occasions and bespoke culinary experiences.
• Introduce innovative concepts such as curated high-end takeaway evenings.
International Travel & Multi-Residence Coordination
• Travel with the Principals as required to support food and beverage operations across international residences.
• Ensure appropriate service staff are in place for all events and occasions.
• Coordinate travel and deployment of UK-based support staff for overseas requirements.
Food Safety & Stock Management
• Ensure all perishable and refrigerated items are clearly labelled with use-by dates.
• Maintain strict stock rotation practices and food hygiene standards.
• Monitor storage, cleanliness, and compliance with best practices.
Ideally suit someone with:
• Proven experience in a similar role within a UHNW private household or luxury hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership experience managing both front-of-house (butlers) and kitchen teams.
• Exceptional organisational and planning skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Discreet, professional, and service-driven approach.
• Strong understanding of fine dining, global cuisines, and luxury service standards.
• Flexible and able to travel internationally at short notice.
